Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Government on Saturday said nine new medical universities will emerge in this state this month and this will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to the official spokesman for the Ministry of Medicine, New Universities in Deoria, Ettack, Fatehpur, Ghazipur, Hardoi, Jaunpur, Mirzapur, Pratapgarh and Siddharthnagar will add new dimensions to the state health system.
Of the total of more than 450 faculty members, around 70% were recruited with full transparency, he said.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a new medical college simultaneously.
This is for the first time in history rising that a large number of medical colleges will be inaugurated simultaneously,” said the state government in the statement.
Uttar Pradesh Yogi Minister Adityanath has announced that there must be medical colleges in each district to prevent patients traveling to other districts for care, the statement said.
