Gurgaon: MCG identifies the potential of government sites for advertising so that the scope of income from the same increase.
Public places, bus and public toilet holders are currently surveyed to choose sites for advertisements, MCG officials said.
Civic’s body has so far resulted in only Rs 10 Crore income from advertising in the current fiscal.
The additional Commissioner of MCG Vaishali Sharma led the meeting on Thursday, where he directed the officials concerned to produce more income from advertising, took action against illegal advertisers and also formulated policies on social, religious and political advertisements that appeared throughout the city.
“We are exploring the scope of advertising on government properties so that income can be increased,” said Madhusmita Moitra, Head of City of MCG.
