Noida / Ghaziabad: hope to get more recipients to appear for vaccine doses, the Ministry of Health in Noida and Ghaziabad plan to open a walk-in drive in their vaccination center.
Previously, the Ministry of Health in Noida had planned to send a team of vaccination centers with low additions to villages and communities to help bridge the demand supply gap, which had been faced by the district for the last 20 days for 20 days.
Officials in Noida and Ghaziabad said that 25-30% of registered recipients did not appear for Jab.
These slots will now be used for recipients of walk-in after noon.
“We plan to send a team to the village to increase vaccination.
However, there is a logistical problem with the plan,” said Dr.
Neeraj Tyagi, District Immunization Officer, GB Nagar.
The latest decision has been taken as GB Nagar now receives more doses.
On Thursday, he received 27,000 covishield doses.
The district has around 37,000 doses available for the next two days.
To ensure that the vaccine dose is not wasted, Ghaziabad’s health officials say that registration in the place will open after 12 noon every day.
About 25% of people who ordered slots on the co-win portal did not appear.
“There are also plans to divert vaccines from centers where fewer people leave for centers where there is more in a hurry,” said the Ghaziabad Nodal officer from Mathuria.
However, there were complaints that many people ordered their slots turned away from the center appointed regularly at Ghaziabad.
