Gurgaon: When the rain hit several parts of the city on Wednesday morning and caused water to move on the road, which leads to the traffic traffic, the traffic police once again swung to avoid congestion and a large blockade.
They also made residents get information through their social media handles about roads that must be avoided and the overall situation in the field, while the police were posted on the land managed by traffic in knee water and cleared blockages at several points to overcome water.
About 1,800 police were deployed throughout the city from the early hours to deal with congestion due to waterlogging.
According to the police, a special focus was placed on the underpass and large stretch and intersection such as – Sohna Road, MG Road, Golf Course Road, IFFCO Chowk, Honda Chowk Hero, Narsinghpur Chowk, Sheetla Mata Road, Udyog Vihar to control the traffic situation.
From the morning, the police shared updates at Waterlogging in Barai Road, Imt Chowk, Border Kapashera, Sector 4,7,9, Udyog Vihar, Jwala Mill, Near Dhankot, Near Tikri Cut, Galleria Market, Nathupur Sabji Bathing, Taman Mayfield, Sector 46.47, 39, Road Medanta Hospital, Ambedkar Chowk and other areas on their social media yards.
“We have identified around 38 places that are vulnerable to congestion due to puddles and teams are deployed in all of these places.
About 60 teams are formed to deal with waterlogging problems,” said KK RAO police chief, added that two teams were deployed to each city underpass to stop the entry vehicle.
Traffic is diverted from the road that reports damage.
The police control room received more than 300 calls related to airlogging and traffic congestion from various parts of the city.
Water has entered houses in the old Gurgaon section, including the sector of 3,5,6, the Barf Khana area and side by side.
“We have prepared a plan to spread the monsoon in advance and it helps to manage the traffic situation on Wednesday,” said an officer.
