Gurgaon: In an effort to maximize the generation of income and restore losses that occur during a pandemic, the Haryana Department of Transportation has decided to change the design of the bus-bus to the volvo bus lines to accommodate more passengers.
The state highway department plans to increase the size of the bus and add more chairs to them so that it does not only accommodate more passengers on each bus but also increase income income per bus.
For this, the department is working on a prototype model, which will be sent for approval before change can be done in the existing state transportation fleet.
“There is a proposal to make some modifications in the existing fleet from the highway bus of our country.
The Department of Engineering has planned to make some ergonomic changes in the design that will make the hostel and seat more comfortable for passengers.
By adding new seats and increasing the bus dimensions, We will also maximize income income and will also be able to ensure compliance with the Covid-19 protocol, “said a senior official.
Haryana State Engineering Corporation has begun to set up two buses as a model for sampling.
In this case, one chassis from Ashoka Leyland, while other chassis comes from Tata.
After preparing a model, it will be sent to the International Center for Automotive Technology (ICAT) for approval.
After being approved, 809 new buses will be added to the highway fleet.
This will be the second change in the bus design of the streets since 2012.
That year, the country road length of road roads increased from nine meters to 11 meters.
With the new modification proposed, the length will be increased to around 13 meters.
The number of seats will also increase from 52 to 56 which there is a proposed 809 bus to the transportation department within one year getting approval from Icat.
The overall cost of this bus production will be around Rs 25 lakh per bus.
This, corporation, said it would be much cheaper than triggering a new bus with Volvo bus dimensions.
“The idea is to change the fleet to serve passenger growth and also increase demand for a comfortable vehicle on the state bus.
In addition to adding more seats, changes will be carried out in steps at the gate rising to make it easier for passengers, especially women and old women, “Said a Raya Haryana Department official.
Officials said that the increasing number of seats on the bus would not only help the department in producing more recruitment per kilometers without high costs in advance in adding new buses, it would also ensure that even if social distance will be followed for several others.
The month of the road will not wrestle with excessive income drain.
