New Delhi: On this day, 21 years ago, when Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar scored a hundred international first in a test match against England at Old Trafford.
At the age of 17 and 112 days, he became the third youngest batsman to score tons of tests.
Tendulkar took eight test matches to bring up a 100-run plus’s first score in international cricket, managing 119 not out of 189 balls in the last round, helping India drawing games.
The knock also got his first player’s tendulkar from the match award.
