New Delhi: On this day, 21 years ago, when Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar scored a hundred international first in a test match against England at Old Trafford.
At the age of 17 and 112 days, he became the third youngest batsman to score tons of tests.
Tendulkar took eight test matches to bring up a 100-run plus’s first score in international cricket, managing 119 not out of 189 balls in the last round, helping India drawing games.
The knock also got his first player’s tendulkar from the match award.
England won a throw in the second game of the three-match series and chose to be first.

Capil Dev joined Tendulkar in the middle for the Partnership of 56 Run to the sixth goal.
Dev left after scoring 26 walks.
Tendulkar and Manoj Prabhakar played carefully and remained invincible at 119 * and 26 *, at the end of the fifth day, and the visitors managed to draw matches.
