PUDUCHERRY: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 25th National Youth Festival in Puducherry through video conferencing on January 12, Swami Vivekananda’s birthday, who was observed as National Youth Day.
Speaking on that occasion, Modi said the birthday of Swami Vivekananda’s birth this year Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was increasingly inspiring.
He said this year was important because the country celebrated the 150-year anniversary of Sri Aurobindo and the 100th anniversary of Mahakavi’s death Bharathi.
“These two wise people have special relationships with Puduchers.

Modi also inaugurated a technology center from the Ministry of Micro Union, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), established in Puducherry at a cost of Rs 122 Crore.
Modi inaugurated Kamarajar Computers Kamarajar Manimandapam – Auditorium with an open theater, built by the Puducherry government at a cost of Rs 23 Crore.
