BAHRAICH:”A one-and-a-half-year-old woman died after allegedly being chased by a guy in a village on Tuesday,” police said.
“The accused, who was afterwards nabbed from the villagers, attempted to escape from police custody while being taken to court but was after being shot in the leg” police said.
“The toddler had been sleeping at an open courtyard about Monday night after the accused (30) picked up her and raped her in a deserted school construction near,” ASP (Rural), Ashok Kumar told reporters.
“After the parents didn’t discover their woman early morning Tuesday, a hunt started and she had been discovered bleeding.
The accused, who was with the sufferer, was captured by the villagers and handed to the authorities,” that the ASP stated.
“The woman was admitted to hospital where she succumbed to injuries later in the afternoon,” he explained.
An instance under charges of murder and also provisions from the Safety of Children against Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was lodged against the accused.
“While being taken to court at the day for remand, the 30-year-old assaulted the police group and attempted to escape out of the area,” SHO of the local police station, Sanjay Singh explained.
“Police fired in the air however, the accused didn’t quit and got shot in the leg” that the SHO explained, adding he had been detained and sent to court for remand after a health examination.
The ASP explained,”Fees below the National Security Act are also discriminated from the accused” The woman’s father said he searched for his lost daughter as well as other villagers simply to find her in such a terrible condition in the local school.
