Thiruvananthapuram: In a unfortunate incident, a toddler died on Thursday after he allegedly fell into the river near his house.
Anamics, Princess Sajin and Athura from Palakkadavu near Neyattinkara, are the deceased.
He was only 21 months old.
According to the police, he was missing from his house close to the Neyyar River around 12 noon.
After one hour looking for him found lying in muddy waters on the banks of the river.
Even though he was in a hurry to the hospital, the doctors could not save his life.
The police said that the house did not have a compound wall so that the family had established a safety net to prevent children from coming out.
Allegedly that the baby somehow fall through the gap between nets and soil.
Sajin was a police officer attached to the armed police battalion.
