Tokyo: India’s First Heavy Class Super Boxer (+ 91kg) to compete in the Olympics, Satish Kumar, subsided to the quarter-final of his debut game, defeating Ricardo Brown Jamaica in his opening battle here on Thursday.
In the debutant battle, Satish 32 years won 4-1, a comfortable victory for him even though the verdict was divided.
The Asian Championship was twice the Indian bronze winner, which has been a national champion repeatedly, assisted by bad Brown’s feet throughout the fight even though he finally defended two cuts – one on his forehead and the other in his chin.
