Fukushima: The nation hosted Japan easily defeated Australia because the sports program at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics which was delayed finally took place with a softball game in Fukushima which was moistened on Wednesday.

Japan had to wait 13 years to defend the title they won at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and they dominated their Australian opponents in Fukushima, the nuclear disaster site that triggered a tsunami in 2011.
The toughest challenges they might come from the United States, who play Italy in the second match on Wednesday.
