Tokyo Olympics: Explained – Why Mary Kom Thinking He Should Win

The Indian boxing era at the Olympics ended with London 2012 the bronze medal Mary Kom left the match in Tokyo.
But as many opportunities in international rings, a fight was complete with a lot of confusion and questions asked about the assessment system.
The Hand of Ingrit Valencia Colombia was raised by the referee to declare the winner of the women’s quarter-finals with Mary Kom.
It caused many eyebrows raised in Indian camps, who were convinced that Mary had done enough to win.
Round 1: Mary, world champion six times, has four judges who ruled her in the first round.
This means he loses this round 1-4.
Round 2: in the round of two, three of them in supporting Mary, which means he won round 3-2 rounds 3: a similar 3-2 pattern followed in round three to support the 2012 bronze medalist, Mary won two of the three rounds.
However, his opponent was declared a winner with a score of 3-2 overall.
(Photo of PTI) This is why it happened: Went with a score of two first rounds, Mary needed a minimum verdict of 4-1 in the final round to win the match.
Colombia, entered the semifi, because Mary won the third round and last 3-2 and not 4-1, which she needed to swing scorine finally.
But Mary and the Indian camp alleged that the score was unfair – that Mary had the upper hand in the last two rounds and she should have won.
The boxer cannot have boots reviewed after losses at the Olympics.
(Photo of PTI) Mary tells PTI after the fight – “The worst part is that there are no reviews or protests.
Honestly I’m sure the world must have seen, this is too much what they have done.
You can’t do it here.
I will definitely protest Instead.
“But it’s the rule.
Who does assessment? The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has AIBA (World Boxing Agency) under suspension for alleged financial errors and governance problems.
This means that AIBA cannot play a role in the Olympics.
As a result, the IOC boxing task force handles boxing event organizations in Tokyo, which also includes assessments.
Interestingly, Mary represents the Asian block on the IOC task force.
The 2016 edition of the match has caused 36 boxing officials to be suspended in front of the jury.
Will review changes in the rules in the future? The boxing reviewing system is on the foundation as promised by the new President of Aiba Umar Kremlev, but first of all the world’s body needs to get recognition again.
AIBA strives to regain IOC recognition by bringing some changes in administrative arrangements under the new President Umar Kremlev, which includes the introduction of the fight review system to ensure that the boxer complaints are intended.
Meanwhile, boxers and fans struggled to reach the requirements with the results on his face looked quite strange.
