Bhubaneswar: Ace India Sprinter Dutee Chand said he would focus on the 100m race at the upcoming Tokyo Olympics which will take place since July 23.
Dutee on Wednesday qualified for Quadrennial events at a 100m and 200 million quota.
Ace Sprinter said there was no pressure on him to appear and he would give the best in the coming game.
“I have focused more on 100m because I don’t have enough time to prepare 200m.
My focus will be at 100m this time.
There are many restrictions because of the Covid-19 pandemic but I will focus on training and competition,” Dutee said Ani.
“There is no pressure on me because I have competed with the same set of players before.
And if I can compete with world-class players, it will only increase the level of joy,” he added.
Dute is optimistic about winning a medal at the Tokyo Olympics and he aims to at least reach the semi-final in the tournament.
“I feel proud and happy to be qualified for the Tokyo Olympics in the race of 100m and 200 m through the world ranking quota.
I am very grateful to my coach.
I will perform well at the Olympics and I aim to qualify to qualify for the semi-finals,” said Decrease in ace sprinter.
“My training went pretty well.
