Tokyo: Most of the Tokyo Paralympic match will be held without viewers, because Japanese capital remains under emergency locking amid a surge in novel Coronavirus infection, local media reported on Friday.
The organizer agreed on Thursday to limit the audience at Paralympic events, began to begin on August 24, similar to the Olympics which was completed on August 8 and mostly held without viewers, said Yomiuri, quoting game resources.
Paralympic places in Shizuoka, Central Japan, will limit the audience below 5,000 people, the newspaper said.
Organizers still consider inviting school children to the event, he said.
Organizers did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comments.
Japanese officials said they planned to make decisions after the Olympics.
Paralympic competitions include swimming, table tennis, wheelchair and basketball, with more than 4,000 athletes with various disturbances such as Paraplegia.
