Tokyo Racquet Paralympics Noida DM takes RS 50 lakh at auction

Noida: Badminton rackets used by Noida District Judge Suhas Ly in Tokyo Paralympics took Rs 50.00.200 at the online auction PM Mentos on Thursday night the basic price of rackets was Rs 50 Lakh.
Suhas Ly, who pocketed silver, became the first IAS officer to win a medal in this September Paralympics.

Suhas Ly is currently ranked number 2 as a para-badminton player.
Organized by the Union of the Ministry of Culture, the e-auction began on September 17 and ended at 5 pm on Thursday.
The results of the auction will be used for Namami Gange Yojana, the National Mission to clean Ganga.
Racket, red sports handle, has a reserve price of 50 lakh Rs and Rs 10 Crore seal prices.
On the first day itself, an offer worth RS 10 Crore appeared online both for rackets and javelins used by the Chopra Neeraj.
However, the offer turned out to be false and lowered on the same day.
Apart from the racket, some other memorabilia from Olympians and Paralympians are ready to be auctioned.
This includes Javelin Chopra, which finally took Rs 1.5 Crore, and the Badminton Racket PV Sindhu, which was auctioned for Rs 80,00,100, according to the website.
Ministry officials said the last auction price of all the kinquets and the names of the bidders would be revealed on Friday.
