Breastfeeding mothers will be allowed to bring their children to the Tokyo Olympics if necessary, 2020 organizers told Reuters on Wednesday.
The organizers have banned members of the athlete’s family from attending the match due to the Covid-19 safety protocol, while foreign audiors were also excluded and the domestic crowd would be limited.
Some athletes complained that they were forced to choose between matches and their children but the organizers told Reuters in the email that restrictions had subsided.
“Given that the Tokyo 2020 match will take place during a pandemic, overall we unfortunately will refuse to allow members of the athletes or other friends to accompany them to the match,” said the organizer.
