New Delhi: Agriculture Minister Union Narendra Singh Tomar on Sunday clarified that the center had no plans to return three agricultural laws that were canceled and attacked the leader of the Rahul Gandhi congress for “misleading people”.
Tomar’s statement came a day after Rahul accused the center of hatching conspiracy to return three laws after assembly selection was concluded in five states, including Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
Rahul made this comment after Tomar said at a previous event that the center had moved “backward” to agricultural law and “will move forward again”.
Hitting Rahul, Tomar said the Congress leader pampered himself in “cheap politics” to mislead the people.
“There is no government proposal to bring back agricultural reform laws.
People like Rahul Gandhi enjoy cheap politics.
These people have tried to fail to mislead the state by missteping my statement.
There is no proposal to bring back the law Revoked, “Tomar told reporters at Madhya Pradesh Morena.
In Nagpur, Tomar said that the center was carrying agricultural amendment laws, but some people did not like this law which was a large reform that was brought around 70 years after independence under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“But the government was not disappointed, we move back and we will move forward again because farmers are Indian backbones,” Tomar said.
After this statement, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said in Tweet in Hindi on Saturday that the Minister of Agriculture’s Minister had insulted PM Modi’s apology.
“If the anti-farmer steps are taken again, then Satyagraha from Annadatas will take place.
It has defeated arrogance, will again defeat him,” he said.
In November, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a decision to revoke the three controversial laws, which have triggered protests throughout the year from thousands of farmers from Punjab, Haryana and Barat Uttar Pradesh.
The bill for legal memo was cleaned in parliament and approved by the President in December, after farmers called their agitation.
