Top German courts rejected appeal in the case of neo-nazi murder

Berlin: Germany’s highest court has refused the request of three people punished in one of the highest murder trials in the country involving the far right group.
The decision announced Thursday by the Federal Justice Court confirmed a lifetime sentence given three years ago for Beate Zschaepe, the only known congratulations on the national socialist underground.
Munich Regional Court found Zschaepe guilty in 2018 out of 10 murder charges for his role in the murder of nine people – eight from Turkey and one of the Greeks – and a police officer between 2000 and 2007.
He was also convicted of the membership of the terrorist organization, participating in two bomb attacks And more than a dozen bank robbery, and attempted murder because of burning group hiding after his existence was revealed.
Even though Zschaepe denied being present for any murder, the court concluded that he was involved in their respective planning.
Two of his hands, Uwe Mundlos and Uwe Boehnhardt were found dead in clear suicide in 2011 after a failed robbery.
The federal court this week also upholds the belief of two men who have helped the group: Ralf Wohlleben, which was found guilty of accessories for murder for helping to supply the trio with the gun and his reducer he knew to use murder; And Holger Gerlach, who was convicted of supporting terrorist organizations because it gave NSU groups with firearms and fake identity papers while its members were in runaway.
The anti-racist campaign accused the German authority from many failures during their investigation into murder.
Gamze Kubasik, whose father, Mehmet Kubasik, was killed by NSU in 2006, welcomed the court’s decision on Thursday and called for Zschaepe to reveal the names of other people who helped the group.
The appeal of a fourth man who was punished in this case is expected to be heard later this year.
A defendant fifth withdrew his appeal.
