Srinagar: Police J & K shot two Lashker-e-Taiba terrorists, including one of his commanders, in a meeting in Srinagar on Monday afternoon, police said.
The terrorists hide among young boys who play cricket in Aloochi Bagh, IG-Kashmir Vijay Kumar told reporters.
At receiving information about them, 10 police in a civil dress rushed to the fields and crossed it.
They saw terrorists and asked them to put their arms.
Terrorists, on the other hand, open fire.
The police replied and shot them, said IG.
Lashkar terrorists who were killed including Abbas Sheikh from Kulgam, who were militanti since the last seven years.
Other terrorist Saqib Manzoor, from Old Barazulla, has killed two policemen in Anantang in South Kashmir in February this year.
Sheikh, who was previously with Hezbul Mujahideen, turned two years ago.
According to security officials, he was the mastermind behind most of the murders carried out by his clothes in the past year.
Manzoor, a postgraduate student when he joined Mari last year, quickly rose because he was believed to have executed several murders in and around Srinagar on Sheikh’s orders.
“The top commander of the forbidden terror clothing let / Trf Abbas Sheikh and his jaw Saqib Manzoor was killed.
Great success,” Kumar tweeted.
Meanwhile, CRPF personnel were injured after guerrillas threw grenades on the bunker from paramilitary forces at the Srinagar City Safakadal location on Monday, officials said.
CRPF personnel suffered a minor injury in the explosion, he added.
