Srinagar: High-ranking officials from various security agents on Thursday review the security situation in Kashmir, police said.
“The joint-level meeting of Kashmir Division officers from the police Jammu and Kashmir, the army and capfs were held at the police headquarters at this time.
Director General of Police Dilbag Singh led a meeting where the overall security scenario of Kashmir was reviewed,” a police spokesman said.
He said the meeting was attended by representatives of the police, CID, BSF and CRPF.
Overcoming Officers, DGP appreciates the role of J-K police and other security forces for recent success in anti-terror operations and to provide a better security environment to the UT people.
He praised the coordinated efforts of troops to fight terrorism and directed officers to strengthen the security grid and plug in gaps with strict security measures.
DGP emphasizes officers to review each district security regularly.
He said that terrorists and their lord crossed the border trying to create interference and add that strength must be aware of their evil design foil.
Singh emphasizes that to fight terrorism more effectively is a strategy for strengthening the operational capabilities needed for joint operational exercises that must be planned to use the latest electronic gadgets.
DGP said the overground network that helped maintain terrorism and attracted the youth in joining militant rankings needs to be targeted.
He said with efforts along with various networks damaged in the past and added that more intelligence sharing and coordination between strength would help in destroying more networks.
Singh said the legal and order situation had increased in Jammu and Kashmir with the support of people even though troops must be vigilant.
He asked the officers to take firm action against the law and the Instigator T-junction.
