Lucknow: Reviewing vaccination status in the state, the Chair of the Yogi Minister Adyityanath directed health officials to intensify the ongoing drive of vaccination and saturate the entire population that qualified on January 15.
UP is home to 1.4 teenagers under 18 years who are eligible for vaccination and so far.
More than 23.7 lakh of them have taken the first dose.
“Special camps must be held in high school and must be ensured that 100% of teenagers received their first dose at the end of this week,” CM said in the meeting.
CM also oversees vaccination preparedness to manage the dose of precautions scheduled to start from Monday.
This drive will cover all health workers and front lines other than 60-plus elderly with co-morbid conditions.
“The availability of sufficient vaccine doses must be ensured that the drive is done in stages and hassle.
Use ways to benefit beneficiaries that meet the requirements,” CM said.
Health officials said that the total number of doses provided in the country crossed 21.35 lakh mark on Sunday.
In terms of people, 13.44 people crore a portion while 7.89 Crore was fully vaccinated.
CM directs health officials to draw a detailed action plan for districts where the first dose coverage remains below 80% and launches a special drive to vaccinate people who are missing.
At night at all 75 districts participating in a sustainable increase in the number of new cases and active Covid-19 infections, the Government of Uttar Pradesh imposed hours of night (10 nights to 6 am) in all 75 countries.
Until now, the curfew was enacted in districts where the number of cases actively crossed 1000-mark which meant that the curval command was valid in several districts.
The decision in this case was taken at the Team-9 meeting here on Sunday.
A total of 7,695 new cases appeared in the last 24 hours and with the total active case in the state reaching 25,974.
Of these, 25,445 is under house isolation while the rest is under medical care.
The government also directs the closure of all educational institutions until January 16.
