CHICAGO: A radar-confirmed tornado swept by towns in heavily populated suburban Chicago, damaging over a hundred houses, toppling trees, knocking out electricity and causing a number of accidents, officials explained.
At least five individuals, including a girl who had been listed in critical condition, were also hospitalized in Naperville, in which 16 houses were abandoned”uninhabitable” and tons of other houses were ruined when a documented tornado touched down after 11 pm Sunday, said city spokeswoman Linda LaCloche.
