New Delhi: The total work produced by nine certain sectors reached 3.10 crores in the July-September 2021 quarter, which was 2 lakh more than the April-June period, according to a quarterly employment survey by the Labor Ministry released on Monday.
The Quarter of Employment Survey (QES) released by the Minister of Labor Bhupender Yadav said that the total work rate in the nine sectors select was 3.08 crore in April-June 2021.
Rise showed an increase in economic activities by countries to curb.
The spread of the deadly virus after the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic hit the country in April 2021.
Nine sectors are manufacturing, construction, trade, transportation, education, health, accommodation and restaurants, accounting for most total work in non-agricultural companies.
This is the second report in the series.
The first report was for April-June 2021.
This study includes establishments with 10 or more employees.
Releasing the report, YADAV stated that this research will help the government to achieve its mission of the latest delivery and evidence-based policy making for workers.
He expressed hope that India would soon be able to get out of the third wave of pandemic.
