Tourist Cab operators seek relief

Udhagamandalam: The Ooty Tourist Taxi passengers’ Welfare Association has sought aid finance and grocery store for families of motorists that have lost careers as a result of pandemic.
“For the previous 15 weeks, tourist cab drivers had lost their livelihood because of the outbreak.
For servicing crisis trips to the natives, we want e-pass.
Locals carrying Aadhaar card ought to be permitted to travel in taxis for emergency function.
It’ll be of assistance to people too to the natives,” a letter to the ministry said.
“Until date, tourist cab operators haven’t got any relief measures in the authorities.
Hencewe ask the authorities to think about our plea and declare a relief step.
