Srinagar: A group of tourists from Mumbai allegedly attacked two doctors and two other staff members in the Covid-19 task when they were not allowed to visit Gulmarg on Wednesday, police said.
The police have registered cases of attacks on tourists.
A police official claimed at least 16 tourists – seven men and nine women – entered the sub-district hospital in Tangmarg and looked for negative Covid test reports without undergoing tests, which were needed to visit several tourist destinations.
When the staff refused, officials claimed, seven male tourists attacked staff, injuring two doctors, Dr.
Aayaz Ahmad and Dr.
Tahir, Aqib health workers Ahmad Bhat and Irfan Ahmed Reshi, a teacher about Covid’s task.
The police were called and were investigating.
