Lucknow: Ahead of the election of the Pradesh Uttar Assembly, former IPS officer ASIM Arun joined the Bharatiya Party Janata (BJP) on Sunday in front of the Union Minister of Anurag and other party leaders.
Welcoming ASIM Arun to the party, Anurag Thakur said, “Someone who is experienced, honest and ideal for the children joining BJP today.
I welcome ASIM Arun.” “BJP will move forward with his experience and more young people like he will join BJP,” he added.
“I’m happy, satisfied, I have the opportunity to serve the public.
This decision is not easy for me like on the one hand there is a job, on the other hand, there are opportunities for public services,” said Asim Arun while joining a party.
Meanwhile, BJP released the first list of 107 candidates for the upcoming assembly poll in Uttar Pradesh where he denied tickets up to 20 to sit MLA and deploy 21 new candidates.
The party has released a list for the first phase and the two elections scheduled to be held on February 10 and 14.
Maintaining the arithmetic balance of caste and to get voters, BJP has lowered women in 10 seats, OBC candidates in 44 seats and caste scheduled (SC) candidates Of the 19 seats, accounting for 60 percent of the total.
The selection for 403 assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven phases from February 10.
Polling in Uttar Pradesh will be held on February 10, 14, 20, 23, 27 and March 3 and 7 in seven phases.
Vote counting will take place on March 10.
