Bhubaneswar: After waiting for eight years, toy train services will be continued at the Nandranan Zoo with the authorities who have received train engines and four Bogies from the Indian Technical and Economic Technical and Economy Services.
A technical team from the rite will arrive within a week to immediately run the trial.
The zoo toy train has died for four years now.
The zoo must replace tracks, machines, and bogies for total repair.
“This rite will produce an annual maintenance proposal because it is a technical body and we want to take annual maintenance work instead of assigning any local parties.
Travel 3.2km travel on the toy train will excite visitors,” said Manoj Zooj Zoo Director Mohapatra.
Cyclone Fani has delayed toy train services in 2019.
The recognition of the toy train will lead to an increase in annual legs of 2 lakh, estimated zoo officials.
Zoo officials said earlier there were narrow gauges that could carry 60 passengers on the way.
It was dead in 2012 and since then the authorities have not been able to restore services.
This time, after repairs, the track will have a standard wide size.
“We have not yet decided on rates to be prosecuted for journey,” said a zoo officer.
Previously, the authorities used to charge Rs 10 per passenger for travel.
“We might climb the cost.
The fee will be decided after the tender is opened,” the officer added.
The amount of shuttle a day will depend on footsteps and requests.
On both sides of the zoo train line will arrange a cage to accommodate animals, so visitors can watch animals while traveling.
