Mangaluru: COVID-19 case continues to increase in the urban area of Dakshina Kannada.
Despite the covid-19 TPR (TPR) level in Dakshina Kannada increased gradually, TPR in Bantwal, Putture, Beltangady and SULLIA Taluk still below 1%.
Mangaluru Taluk, including the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) limit, has recorded nearly 4% of TPR, and Sullia Taluk only reported three positive cases in the past week of 2.
January 913 cases reported in this district in the last seven days, 821 comes from Mangaluru.
TPR from Mangaluru Taluk, which was 1.5% a week ago, has increased to 6% on Saturday.
Bantwal Taluk maintains a low of 0.3% TPR, Putture has 0.1%, beltangady has 0.3% and 0.08% in SULLIA, in the past week.
The district also saw 0.5% of TPR among people from other districts, which had been tested in Dakshina Kannada.
District administration and the Ministry of Health have increased supervision in Mangaluru Taluk, including the city area.
Commissioner MCC Akshy Sridhar said the official team from the Ministry of Health and Revenue from City Corporation had been deployed to examine the violations of Covid-19 guidelines in the city.
