Trade license is a must, apply, MCG tells the mall operator

Gurgaon: Corporation of Gurgaon City (MCG) on Wednesday direct all malls in the city to apply for a trade license.
In the meeting, MCG officials told the mall operator that it was mandatory for commercial property to get a trade license according to Haryana Municipal Corporation Act, 1994.
In accordance with Section 331, 335A and 336 of the corporate law Haryana Municipal, 1994, the commercial unit set In city corporate limits must get a trade license for operation.
Mall meetings operating under Zone-4 MCG were chaired by Commissioners with Sumit Kumar on Wednesday.
He directed the mall operator to get a trade license issued and cleaned their property tax contributions.
The Joint Commissioner also said at the meeting that the Haryana government had also announced the release of 25% of property tax for the Fiscal Year 2021-22 if paid on September 30.
In addition, an additional 10% of Rebates will also be given to this year until September 30.
In the fiscal year 2020-21, MCG estimates to generate revenue around RS 15 Crore from the cost of trade licenses, however, the corporation can only produce 55% of projected income from trade licenses.
Civic’s body is expected to produce around Rs 12 Crore from a trading license in the fiscal year 2021-22.
Commissioner MCG Mukesh Kumar Ahuja in June has directed a commissioner together to send notifications to commercial property, which operates without a trade license in the city.
According to property tax records, there are 66,000 commercial units in the city and the majority of them operate without trade licenses.
In addition, the MCG-1 zone has also conducted a survey to examine commercial companies established in residential areas.
After these units are identified, they will be asked to get a trade license.
