Ghaziabad: A 35-year-old trader allegedly robbed RS 4 Lakh after being detained in Guuri in the Masuri area on Monday.
The defendant escaped after taking the car key and his cellphone, the police said.
Noon, Nasir Qureshi, a livestock trader from Saheed Nagar, went to the meat factory in his car.
While he was on his way, three men traveling with other cars stopped the vehicle.
They appointed a gun at Qureshi and asked him to hand over all the valuables and one of the defendant men suspected of taking a bag containing Rs 4 Lakh.Iraj Raja, SP Rurs, said: “We are checking CCTV’s supply to track them.” A pine has been listed under Section 392 (robbery) IPC at the Masuri Police Station.
In another incident, the gold chain was captured from a 35-year-old woman in the Raj Nagar extension area on Sunday night.
The incident occurred around 8pm when he came home from a local store.
The defendant escaped from the place after shooting in the air.
