Ludhiana: The anti-encroachment campaign was carried out in the old city area by Tehbazari City Corporate Wings and Traffic Police faced strong resistance on Wednesday from a local shop owner, which blamed the road blocked in haphazard parking by buyers.

The situation became tense and Senior Deputy Mayor of Shyam Sunder Malhotra had to reach the place and calm the shopkeepers.
This campaign was launched to eliminate the temporary structure of the streets for finer traffic.
The shop owners began protesting when Teabazari’s team reached Ghas Shower Chowk at Chaura Bazaar after cleaning all the encroachment of the shower and bazaar soap.
As ordered, corporate employees raised material stored outside the shops when several traders become aggressive and start overcoming them in mentioned tones and dirty language.
Tehbazari staff moved forward towards Gaushala road, where traffic barriers were a big problem.
But even there staff faced resistance to the campaign, when traders accused MC employees raised even materials stored in stores.
One shop owner in Raided Market claims that: “The main cause of traffic congestion is parking vehicles and not our material stored outside the shops.
The visitors left their car on the road when they went shopping, and the vehicle blocked.

“The shop owner said the MC had to direct his actions to illegal parking instead of them.
Lawned about protests, Senior Deputy Mayor of Shyam Sunder Malhotra came and tried to control the situation.
He first asked officials to convince shop owners by browsing the road and road.
