Gurgaon: Traffic Police on Monday started a special drive against Diesel-Run vehicles, who were more than 10 years old, and a vehicle managed by gasoline, which was more than 15 years old.
This comes on heels increasing the level of pollution in the city, which has forced the government to issue counselors to stay at home to residents.
At least 11 vehicles, including 10 Petrol-Run and one diesel-run, confiscated on the first day of the drive.
According to the command of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) which is continued in the background of increasing pollution in Delhi-NCR, a vehicle managed by gasoline can be used for 15 years and what runs in Diesel can be used for 10 years.

According to traffic police, all types of vehicles, including two-wheeled, four-wheeled and commercial vehicles, will face actions regardless of their registration.

So, any vehicle even from the outside of the NCR will face action if it does not obey NGT norms,” DCP added.

In addition, traffic police advise commuters to share vehicles and taxis or use public transportation such as buses and metro.
“Traffic personnel advise commuters in each check and stop because we want the vehicle owner responsible for helping the administration to curb the level of pollution,” said DCP.
