Kalyan: Two young men died on Monday night because of excessive suspicion of Toddy in the Dombivli Copar area in the Thane District.
Both of them died, both of them were twenties, had been identified as Sachin Padmukh and Swapnil Cholake, a warden in the Dombivli traffic unit who had left for two months for health reasons.
Police Wisnu Nagar has registered a case of negligence that caused death against Toddy sellers, Ravi Bhatni, and launched hunting for him.
The police said Padmukh and Cholake, both residents of Copar, visited Toddy Shop near Kopar Railway Bridge with their friends on Monday night.
They went home around 9pm and the duo collapsed on the road itself.
Their friends rushed to the hospital where the doctor said they were in demand.
Pandarinath Bhalerao, Senior Police Inspector Police Office Wisnu Nagar, “said the doctors said the two died of Toddy’s overdose.”
