Traffic will not be stopped for Karcade Assam CM: Cabinet

Guwahati: The Assam Cabinet on Thursday decided that traffic on the road would not be disturbed for the Karcade Minister of Chief.
However, if necessary, it can be stopped, but not for more than two minutes, and that the ambulance will always get prioritized above Karcade.
The Cabinet also decided to minimize public discomfort by limiting CM convoy to six cars from 21 when present in the Metropolitan area of Guwahanl and 12 in other regions.
On January 15, CM Himanta Bustwa Sarma had reprimanded the deputy commissioner of Nagaon on the national highway to stop traffic to make a way for his convoy.
Sarma, saw a long queue of vehicles stranded on the highway, got off the vehicle and began to cleanse traffic.
Furthermore, the Cabinet decided to stop the practice of representatives and gift offers to CM, ministers and senior officials during any official function.
