Mumbai: Maharashtra records the highest number of accidents and deaths on the train by 2020, for the second year in a row, according to data issued by the National Crime Note Bureau (NCRB).
But the silver layer from a pandemic induced lock is that the train accident declined half in the country – from 6,338 in 2019 to 2,697 in 2020.
Most of the crashes on the railroad were caused during the running track.
