Train services continue the D’Bhanga-Samastipur route

Patna: Normal traffic restored between Muktapur and Samastipur on the route Darbhanga-Samastipur under the Jurisdiction of East Central Railway (ECR) on Monday.
Rail traffic on this route was suspended for two weeks because the floods flowed above the danger on the number 1 Rail Bridge between Muktapur and Samastipur.
According to the Head of the Public Relations of ECR ​​(CPRO) official Rajesh Kumar, the decision was taken after the flood receded.
Division Train Manager Samastipur Ashok Maheshwari examined the Samastipur-Darbhanga-Jayanagar route on Sunday, he said.
“The Engineering and Safety Staff Division Samastipur approved the fitness track around 8:15 a.m.
on Monday to restore normal traffic between Darbhanga and Samastipur,” said CPRO, adding that at least 12 pairs of special passenger trains will now run on the route.
The restored special passenger train is a special passenger Jayanagar (05554), Samastipur-Darbhanga Special (05589/05590), Amritsar-Jayanagar Special (04674), Local Tilak Mumbai-Jayanagar Special (01061/01062), Amritsar-Jayanagar Special (04652/04649/04651) and Special Train Darbhanga-Secunerabad (07008), said CPRO, adding that the train has drawn a short termination and the transfer of several pairs of trains from Monday itself.
However, the train will continue supervision on the rail bridge and tracks along the bridge on the route Muktapur-Samastipur.
“The train has kept sand bags, stone chips, and large stones in readiness on the site to check the floods flowing on the railroad tracks,” he said.
