Indian Railways will likely get his first batch of aluminum coaches in February 2022.
In the shift technology for the train, the modern coach factory (MCF) in Raebareli is looking for an aluminum coach.
The first set of 3 coaches for Kolkata Metro is expected to be ready at the beginning of next year, a train official told Tii.
Finally, the Indian train hopes to get an aluminum coach to Rajdhani’s premium train and Shatabdi Express.
MCF has signed a 128 crore RS contract with South Korean company Dawonsys for this ambitious project.
The project implementation has been postponed by Pandemic Covid-19 hit India and South Korea.
The design for Metro coach is likely to be completed at the end of this month.
“South Korean companies will share designs and so MCFs agree to them will be made in South Korea and be taken in India in condolting conditions,” Tii train official said.
“To start with them (Dawonsys) will produce this coach in South Korea and slowly transfer technology will take place to the MCF,” Officially added.
Three Standard Gauge Metro Coaches will include two motorbike car drivers and one trailer trainer with a potential speed of 100 kmpj.

This includes; Three coach Tier Sleeper, two AC-2 Tier Sleepers, one AC-1 Sleeper, a car AC buffet buffet and one AC DSLR with the driver’s cabin / guard.
The Rajdhani style sleeper coach will have a potential speed of 160 kmpja.
Of this 8 coaches, 4 will come fully assembled and the rest will be accepted in fainting and gathering here.
The South Korean company staff will provide direct training to MCF officials as part of the agreement.
In addition, the design for aluminum coach self-propelled with speeds of up to 225 KMPJ will be provided.
This will help the MCF producing Shatabdi aluminum coaches.
Self-propelled coach will allow the Indian train to run the superior train set according to its aim to connect big cities with car seat train services.
