Coimbatore: With only nine days to go for the election of the urban local agency, the voting authority on Thursday began training staff for dialing in a polling booth.
The training session for staff was held at 44 places in Coimbatore.
In the city, training for the North Zone staff was held at the PSG College of Technology, for the East and South Zone staff at Ayisha expensive in Kunamuthur, they were from the West Zone at Puram Corporation Kalaiariam Hospital and for staff from Nirmala College for women.
Election officials said that staff were trained about the tasks they needed to do in the polling booth.
The monitoring officer for Coimbatore Har Sahay Meena visited Nirmala College and checked the training session there.
