Mumbai: Transgender people were arrested with 15.5 kg of marijuana after getting down from Konark Express on the Terminus Dadar on Thursday.
Strangely, another bag with 15 kg of marijuana was found left on the same train when it stopped his journey at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT).
Nagina Khan, 30, the defendant, was a native of Bangalore.
He rises Konark Express in Pune and get off at the Terminus omelet.
But train protection forces (RPF) found suspicious movements.
They asked him to stop and check his bag just to find narcotics.
Khan was handed over to the GRP omelet who registered a case under the provisions of Narcotics Narcotics and Psychotropic Substance Law.
Khan claimed he intended to travel further to Ajmer but the police did not buy his version.
“We will go through CCTV footage in Pune for more instructions,” said a GRP officer.
Then, when the same train reached the CSMT, the police found a bag left containing 15 kg of other marijuana.
The police investigated the possibility that the bag belonged to one of Khan’s helpers who might escape after knowing his arrest.
The police will go through CCTV footage at CSMT.
