The couple had booked for themselves on vacation to celebrate their wedding anniversary by spending quality time for four days in May 2017 with their 12-year-old child in Darjeeling.
Like the norm with a travel portal like that, bookings are made online where they pay Rs 37,060.
The little thing they know is that their travel plan will be Haywire because of a makehtrip error.
As soon as they landed on their destination at night and went to the resort, they were told that there was no order as it was received by the resort staff in the family name, as a result, the resort did not accommodate them.
As a result, they were forced to spend the night outside the resort with cold weather conditions.
Not only the holiday trips they become Haywire but also families must bear the trouble finding alternative accommodation for themselves other than work on their sightseeing schedule.
For trips inside and around Darjeeling, they have ordered previous taxis for Rs 4,000, which must also be canceled without refunds.
Then, they approached the portal customer service section that managed to find it with alternative accommodations, but the disgust came when they were asked to pay Rs 25,324 when they checked out.
Once they return home, they are not only urgent for refunds but also seek compensation in addition to additional costs, they must be issued due to mismanagement with makmytrip, but the website only offers a lower amount.
Makemytrip in his submission said that he had offered to pay Rs 9,250 for the money paid at the resort and rs 10,000 as compensation.
Harmed and felt insulted especially with experience, they transferred Mumbai Suburban Consumer Court District District which, after in detail filed by both parties, decided that the family had to get Rs 2,61,634.
