Ranchi: Taking out the presence of the Delta Plus variant of the Covid-19 virus in Kerala, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand Health Divignes on Friday said it would immediately make it mandatory for passengers who arrived from these countries (with flights or trains) to bring negative RT-PCR report.
Speaking with Toi on Friday, Head of Secretary (Health) Arun Kumar Singh said, “When the movement of passengers from these countries to Jharkhand takes place every day, we are exploring the possibility of making a negative RT-PCR test for the passenger.
Decisions in terms of This will be taken soon.
“Singh has also written to the Senior Official Division Dinhanbad and Ranchi and to DCS eight districts through trains from three countries.
“Once we get the details, passengers who arrive at the train will be tested,” said Singh.
According to the SINGH letter, DC has been directed to ensure that such a sample of passengers is collected and the details are submitted to the state IDSP unit every day.
