Nagpur: The Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) has written to Prime Minister Narendra demanding a tax vacation, as well as different sops, to assist them recover losses caused by the outbreak. TAAI said authorities must step in quickly and assist the business survive until matters turn to usual. In addition, it added that the institution wasn’t searching for”alms” and can rather repay this sum of Rs 10,000 a month. “This will be repaid, without any attention to the authorities in payments within 24 weeks or deducted in 15 percent of the wages and paid back into the exchequer. Fresh security free loans/overdraft faciltities to our own member businesses and staff be supplied at rebated attention for a time of a minimum of five decades,” explained TAAI. With electronic payments becoming the standard, travel agents state Centre should help them decrease this weight. “Credit card companies banks have been charging between 2 percent to 3.5percent for payments. This has to be decreased to 0.5 percent. Digital India, that was initiated with youpersonally, has lost steam. The drivers are also not accepting electronic payments due greater prices from the banks,” explained TAAI’s letter.
