Bhubaneswar: At least 50 old trees, planted in the early years of the capital city, have been cut in the MLA colony in the Unit-IV area which is suspected to make the way for multi-bound buildings for legislators.
While locals say there are many valuable trees over 60-70 years, the government authorities say they are not aware of every tree that is cut down in the region.
