Thane: Thore General Body will recommend a quick tracking of the rudewadavli Hawker Assault Case in the court session, Thane Mayor Naresh Mhaske informed on Sunday.
A few days after CM Uddhav Thackeray extended support to the assistant Commissioner of the City of Kalpita Pimpale, Mhaske told that the proposal was being given and will be presented before the house Thane immediately recommend a quick trail trial in this case.
“We want to make sure the defendant is punished and also that he sets a deterrent to others,” Mhaske said.
Police Thane investigated the case, said the defendant was produced before the court on Saturday and returned in the custody of the judiciary.
“The defendant was a migrant who settled in the city for the past few years and has no criminal history,” said a senior police officer.
Meanwhile, after suspension of officers at Naupada-Kopri Ward for Nexus with several peddlers, the government tended to investigate deeper in his department to get rid of moles.
