New Delhi: Telangana will start from Thursday start a trial to give a vaccine by Drone, finally paving the way to take this route to health care centers in remote parts of the country.
Delhi Skye Air Mobility-based Drone Shipping Technology Firm has been tied with Blue Dart to start a three-phase trial for the “Medical Sky” project of Telangana.
To start, each drone will carry 175 vaccines and fly in the line of view and then go beyond the visual visual line (BVLOS).
Being a trial, the vaccine sent initially would not be a valuable Covid Jab but another.
On Thursday, the 2-3kg box will take off from the Vicarabad District Hospital for a 500 meter primary health care center, fly to a height of up to 400 feet.
