This case was related to the arrest of three men, Anthony Rosario Fernandez from Tamil Nadu, and Benoy Thomas and Gopi Thank you in Idukki on September 1, 2018.
They were arrested by the Special Team of Excise when they met at Atakkulangan in the city for drug transactions.
Hashish Oil Weight 6,40kg, Cash worth Rs 6.70 Lakh, A Sumo SUV and Toyota Etios car seized.
The defendant had served in prison as an underbial unsecured since then.
The catch was made by a team led by Cures Circle Inspector T Anikumar.

The drug was intended to be smuggled into the Maldives.
Fernandez acts as an intermediary between the buyers identified as Abdullah, a citizen of Maldives, and the seller, which was identified as an ullala from idukki.

The Public Prosecutor K Hareesh Kumar led the prosecution team in this case.
They examined 13 witnesses, 87 documents and 48 material objects against the defendant during the witness examination.
Defense adviser, meanwhile, examined 17 witnesses and 15 documents supporting the defendant.
