Tribal Gang Gang-raped in Narmada Dist; 6 owned

Ahmedabad: A 16-year-old tribal girl allegedly raped by six people, one of them underage, in the city of Dediapada from the district of Narmada Gujarat, police said on Thursday.
While the incident took place on January 31, the victim filed a complaint with the police on Wednesday, after all who were accused of being arrested, said Narmada District Supervisor Himkar Singh.
According to complaints, the defendant took the victim, who was a grade 11 student, to a remote place near the Dediapada bus stop and raped it on Monday night, the official said.
“We registered fir after the girl, along with her parents, approached the Dediapada police station on Wednesday,” he said.
The six defendants have been ordered on charges of gang-rape under the provisions of the IPC and the protection of children from sexual law, Singh.
Five men were arrested and small detained because of the attack, he said.
Some of the defendants who are not tribes have also been ordered under the scheduled castles and scheduled tribes (prevention of cruelty) acting, officially added.
