Tribal school in Thiruvananthapuram faces the threat of attack on wild animals

Thiruvananthapuram: The lives of children who study at Tribal Thalathoothakavu school in this district continue to suffer due to threats from wild animals.
Students have faced threats from wild animals, including bison, elephants and wild boar for years.
Recently wild elephants destroyed the trees that were too close to the school building.
About 28 tribal students from the eleven tribal settlement areas are studying here.
The elephant herd was seen on Wednesday by members of the PTA Mahesh and Suresh Committee who lived near the school.
They see elephants near the school around the morning.
The herd has destroyed most trees in the complex.
“Elephants have destroyed coconut trees in the complex.
Surely that the herd will come again for coconut.
We have tried to build compound walls around the school, but the forest range office has denied our request.
We plan to talk to the PALODE office authority again, if they are Not ready to give permission, we will definitely protest in front of the office, “Jain P, a Tribal Thalathoothakavu school teacher.
“Students are not safe in this complex.
Parents are really afraid to send their children to school,” said Ashaf M, the principal of the school.
Schools have even suspended classes due to disruption by this wild animal.
The Forestry Department has denied permissions for compound walls that say that school authorities failed to produce required documents.
Requests submitted by members of the PTA Committee.
