Coimbatore: The rural police arrested a resident of the Thammampathi tribal and lover on Monday for killing his two and a year old daughter on Saturday.
Police identified victims as Nivanyaree, Princess Sarojini, 20, and P Manikandan.
Sarojini lives with his parents after Tiff with Manikandan.
His parents mediated peace and took him to Manikandan’s house last Friday.
On Saturday morning, Manikandan went to work.
After receiving information that his daughter was taken to a vettaran government hospital, he rushed to the hospital.
Sarojini tells him that he found the girl fainted and immediately took her to the hospital, where the doctor said she was dead.
The police suspected of playing rotten and registering cases under the part 174 CRPC (unnatural death).
“Sarojini gave a contradictory statement.
When we asked him about his relationship with P Bomman, 27, the settlement of the tribe of Sarkarpati, he claimed to be the crime.
He found the girl to be a barrier to their forbidden relationship and had suffocated him to death,” said an officer police.
Sarojini was ordered under Section 302 (punishment for murder) and bombman ordered based on section 109 (reduction punishment if acting was carefully carried out in the consequences and where there was no express provisions made for the penalty) from the Criminal Code.
