Trichy Carbine Assault Rifle Launched

Trichy: Tiruchirappalli (OFT) weaponry (OFT) on Thursday launched a new weapon called Trica (Trichy Carbine), a mini version of Trichy Assault Rifle (TAR).
Portable weapons 7.62 x 39 mm launched on the Carbine platform is fully produced in the weaponry factory here.
Trica weighs 3.17 kg (including magazines) and is lighter than the assault rifle.
This is a concise automatic weapon designed for infantry fighter vehicles, helicopters, force forces, national police and special operating forces.
Oft sources say that Trica is equipped with a special amplifier muzzle to hide the flash and reduce sound during the shooting.
This weapon has an effective range of 150 to 175 meters.
Trica can use ammunition and magazines, as well as exchanged parts of the General Assault Rifle (TAR and AK-47).
Field trials are carried out producing positive results.
